Concordia’s College of Education offers several advanced degrees:


The Master of Education (MEd) and Certificate programs are designed for in-service educators and include in-demand concentration options. Concordia offers four MEd programs: Curriculum & Instruction (16 concentrations), Administration, Educational Leadership, and Career and Technical Education. Certificates include Administrator Licensure, Reading, ESOL, Health/PE, Early Childhood Education, and Trauma & Resilience. Portland campus and online program options.


The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program allows students who have a bachelor’s degree to earn a master’s degree while completing the requirements set by the state of Oregon for their preliminary teaching license. The MAT can be completed in 11 months through the full-time program or in 22 months with the evening program and includes a student teaching component. On campus in Portland, Oregon.


The Doctorate of Education program (EdD) prepares candidates to become transformational leaders in education through rigorous, intensive project-based learning and purposeful collaboration. The program offers five concentrations—Instructional Leadership, Administrative Leadership, Higher Education, Transformational Leadership, and Professional Leadership, Inquiry & Transformation. Portland campus and online program options.
