Rob enters his fourteenth year at Concordia after spending eleven years in the public school system teaching kindergartners through seniors in high school. Rob taught a variety of subjects including physical education, weight training, health, fifth grade math, journalism, and psychology.
Rob is a 1987 graduate of Pacific University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and minors in Health and Coaching. While at Pacific, he played football and baseball. In 1994, Vance completed his Master's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science at Portland State University.
Over the past ten years, Rob has taught a variety of subjects including Exercise Physiology and Introduction to Health, Physical Education and Sport. He also served as the Department Chair for Health and Human Services/Health and Physical Education for four years. Currently he is teaching Elementary PE Methods in the MAT program. He also supervises student teachers in the College of Education. In addition to teaching in the department, Rob enters his fourteenth year as the university's Head Baseball Coach.
He and his wife of twenty-one years, Diane, live in Northeast Portland.
