Leslie grew up in the Pacific Northwest and loves the view of the mountains in this part of the world. She attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication where her most memorable experiences are interning with the Center for Gender Equity, leading new student orientation, and studying abroad in Northern Ireland learning about peace building and conflict mediation. Leslie continued her education by earning a Master of Science in College Student Personnel in 2016 from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. Some of her graduate student assistantship and practicum experiences focused on multicultural student success, first-year student experiences, advising sorority women, and leadership growth for undergraduate student leaders. Leslie then transitioned to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for three years where she worked primarily with exploratory and pre-health undergraduate students as an academic advisor.
She currently serves the Office of Service Leadership at Concordia University-Portland as the Program Coordinator and oversees the Student Service Corps, Alternative Break Leadership Experiences, and National Days of Service. Leslie is a proud sorority alumna, loving dog mommy, and food fanatic.
