Kaylee grew up in Chewelah, a small town in the northeast corner of Washington State. She attended Warner Pacific College in Portland, OR, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduating, she worked at Warner Pacific College in Residence Life and Housing for seven years before transitioning to Concordia University.
Kaylee began her work at Concordia with Residence Life developing community on campus and training leaders in the Resident Assistant Program. In 2016, she earned her Masters in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University with a focus on communication amidst difference. Around the same time, Kaylee moved into Academic Advising with a passion for serving students as they work toward earning their degree and begin thinking about life after college. In March of 2019, Kaylee accepted a new role as the Director of First Year Programs and New Student Orientation. She now devotes her time to collaborating with partners across campus to help new students and their families have a seamless transition to the university. Her efforts to aid student’s transition continues after opening weekend through the Commitment Program. To learn more about the Commitment Program, please visit our webpage.
