    Ed.D. offered both online and on Portland campus

    Concordia University's new, accredited Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) degree will be offered both online and on the Portland campus, beginning May 2013.

    "Concordia's new doctorate of education emphasizes the personal relationships between student peers and professors that Concordia is known for, by grouping students in cohorts of 15 to travel through the 3-4 year program together," said Joe Mannion, Concordia University's Dean of the College of Education.

The assembly continues the Faubion-Concordia-Portland Public School collaboration to rebuild and modernize Faubion School and launch a new national model "3 to PhD."

    A TESL certificate provides the credential to obtain entry level ESL teaching positions around the world.

    Applications are now being accepted for the summer Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Certificate program at Concordia University. This three-week intensive course meets international standards for a TESL certificate and provides the credential necessary to obtain entry level English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching positions around the world.

    Dates: June 4- June 22, 2017.

    Cost: $1500.

    Three Oregon Governors attended the sold-out Concordia University event

    Three Oregon Governors – Atiyeh, Kulongoski and Kitzhaber – and 600 attendees filled the Kridel Grand Ballroom at the Portland Art Museum Feb. 5 to raise funds for student scholarships to Concordia University.

    The second annual Concordia University Governor Victor Atiyeh Leadership in Education Awards, presented by HotChalk Inc, recognized two honorees – Ken Thrasher and the late Dick Alexander – for their leadership in early childhood education in Oregon.
