We offer programs that will enrich and hone your skills, meet state licensing requirements, and fit into your busy schedule. Concordia’s supportive environment fosters student success — and helps you discover new ways of thinking about education.

Making education more affordable for educators

We offer a variety of scholarships and grants designed to make an education at a small, private liberal arts university more affordable than you might think.

Concordia's College of Education offers a variety of programs:

Bachelor’s Degrees:
Bachelor’s degrees are offered in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and Secondary Education.

Master of Education and Certificate Programs:
The Master of Education degree (M.Ed) and certificates are designed for in-service educators and includes a detailed selection of concentration options. The M.Ed. includes Curriculum & Instruction, Administration, and Educational Leadership. Certificates include Administrator Licensure, Reading Interventionist, ESOL, and Health/PE.

Master of Arts in Teaching:
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program allows students who have a bachelor’s degree to earn a master’s degree while completing the requirements set by the state of Oregon for their preliminary teaching license.
The MAT can be completed in 11 months in the full-time program or in 22 months with the evening program.

Doctorate of Education:
The Doctorate of Education program (Ed.D) is divided into five specializations—Teacher Leadership, Educational Administration, Higher Education, Transformational Leadership, and Professional Leadership, Inquiry & Transformation.
