Concordia’s College of Education offers several advanced degrees:

Master of Education / Certificates:

The Master of Education degree (MEd) and certificates are designed for in-service educators and include a detailed selection of in-demand concentration options. Concordia offers four MEd programs: Curriculum & Instruction (19 concentrations), Administration, Educational Leadership, and Career and Technical Education. Certificates include Administrator Licensure, Reading Interventionist, ESOL, and Health/PE.

Master of Arts in Teaching:

The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program allows students who have a bachelor’s degree to earn a master’s degree while completing the requirements set by the state of Oregon for their preliminary teaching license. The MAT can be completed in 11 months through the full-time program or in 22 months with the evening program and includes a student teaching component.

Doctorate of Education:

The Doctorate of Education program (EdD) prepares candidates to become transformational leaders in education through rigorous, intensive project-based learning and purposeful collaboration. The program offers five specializations—Instructional Leadership, Administrative Leadership, Higher Education, Transformational Leadership, and Professional Leadership, Inquiry & Transformation.

"Thanks to Concordia, I felt SO prepared. Concordia does a great job putting together the program, making sure the content is fresh and relevant, and making sure the right people are educating us."
