Civil Rights Equity Grievance Resolution
Concordia University - Portland affirms its commitment to promote the goals of fairness and equity in all aspects of the educational enterprise.
The Concordia University Policy and Procedure for Civil Rights Equity Grievance Resolution for all Faculty, Students and Employees details our policies and procedures regarding cases of assault, discrimination and harassment related to protected class status (race, gender, sex, national origin, disability status, religion, age, etc.) These policies are subject to resolution using the Concordia’s Equity Grievance Review Process, as detailed here (PDF).
The Equity Grievance Review Process is applicable regardless of the status of the parties involved, who may be members or non-members of the campus community, students, student organizations, faculty, administrators and/or staff. Concordia University reserves the right to act on incidents occurring on-campus, online or off-campus, when the off-campus conduct could have an on-campus impact or impact on the educational mission of Concordia University. The Equity Grievance Review Panel (PDF) will investigate equity-based complaints.
