The basic concept of the Program is that you will earn an anchoring bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry or Business. As you work toward your degree, you will build into your studies environmental specific courses. In business your environmental studies will comprise 17 semester hours plus a three credit hour Environmental Science Course that will serve as part of the general education requirements for graduation. These courses include such topics as environmental and natural resource economics, law, regulations, and risk analysis.
The concentration in Environment Management for Business majors is designed to prepare you for entry-level responsibilities in the business/marketing world with a working knowledge of environmental/natural resources issues to give you a wider breadth of understanding. It is designed to give you an added edge - to be able to understand and to help foster the sustainable development ethos that is the future of business.
