The concentration in Entrepreneurship will develop your abilities to identify and capture market opportunities, manage the start and growth of a business, and quickly adapt to changes occurring in various environments. You will focus on all aspects of starting a business including:
- Selecting promising ideas
- Initiating new ventures
- Developing a business plan
- Obtaining initial financing
Our program will show you how ventures are started, how venture ideas and other key ingredients for new businesses are derived, and how to evaluate new venture proposals. You will put together a business plan and learn about legal and tax considerations. Gain “real-world” experience by identifying a product and developing an understanding of potential customers’ wants and needs, selecting a business concept to deliver that product and determining the financial and human resources needed to transform your vision into reality.
You can develop an entrepreneurial perspective by thinking and practicing what you have learned in an entrepreneurial business internship. You will work alongside someone who has “been there” and can help you with decisions that will give you the head start to success that you (and your ideas) deserve.
