Meet Our Alumni

Concordia University's MBA graduates are in demand and making a difference.

I've been promoted twice since completing my MBA at Concordia. The education I received in the MBA program at Concordia helped me to greatly improve my analytical and presentation skills, which has given me a significant advantage in my current role as Director of Category Planning. A side benefit of the program has been the great friendships I have gained. Tami Briggs

My MBA from Concordia helped me in numerous ways. It broadened my professional background to allow me to understand the other units that create an effective team. It also improved my public speaking abilities along with my writing skills. The professors are very knowledgeable and encouraged insightful discussions.

I felt I received a high quality education at an exceptional value. Concordia puts more importance on teaching its MBA program instead of advertising for it. This emphasis set Concordia apart for me. Paul Graslie

The greatest benefit I received from my Concordia experience has been the ability to develop critical thinking and apply that to variety of challenges in my career. The MBA program was particularly helpful in developing my ability to think critically regarding strategy, placing a heavy emphasis on frameworks as a means to approach decision-making. My Concordia MBA has allowed me to move into a different career area and expand my personal growth. After several years as a senior manufacturing manager and operations leader, I've moved into sales and marketing, utilizing many of the concepts that I acquired in the MBA program. Jay Schmidt

The MBA program at Concordia gave me the chance to re-invent myself, so in a sense, it changed my life. For more than 15 years, I had a very successful career as an apparel designer. I have a design degree, but I wanted to move into management and be qualified for a design director position. It isn't easy for an extremely creative person to be recognized as management material without targeted work experience or an advanced degree. My MBA has given me the background I needed to secure a future career opportunity.

The MBA program at Concordia stood out to me as the best choice for working professionals. The program offers a high quality education with flexible hours and convenient locations. I learned from dedicated professors and a diverse group of classmates, many of whom have become lifelong friends. With an MBA from Concordia, you are not walking away with just another degree, but an established network of exceptional educators and friends. Barbara Saunders

I was given the opportunity to become the general manager of BioReaction Industries in a large part because my employer knew I was finishing my MBA program at Concordia University. I brought everything I learned during the course of the program back to the workplace. Doing that helped us better define our markets, understand our product positioning and understand our core competencies. When the opportunity opened up for the company to name a new general manager, our board knew I was well prepared for the position. I would recommend the program to anyone who is looking for a way to expand how they look at their workplace and their career. Karl Mundorff
