Background
Stephen Braun is Dean and Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Concordia University. His thirty-five year career in business and academia includes experience as a corporate vice-president with AMEX and NASDAQ firms and CEO/Founder of a technology products distribution firm as well as research at University of London’s Imperial College. He serves as a panelist, director and advisor to a variety of organizations, including for McKinsey & Company’s Quarterly research journal, advisory faculty for Harvard Business School Publishing, Bendheim Center for Finance at Princeton University, community leader of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, board of directors of Bio-Reaction Industries, and National Association of Corporate Directors.
Dr. Braun edits the textbook, Today’s Entrepreneurs. Among his numerous advisory and executive positions he has served as executive vice president of Concordia University, visiting scholar at the University of Washington’s School of Business, Oregon Entrepreneur of the Year award, keynote speaker for the Global Leadership Conference of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DoD), the American Marketing Association, the Portland-Suzhou Sister City Association and Oregon Business magazine. He founded and chairs the CEO Roundtable, an event bringing together industry-leading chief executives in a panel moderated by Fortune magazine editors
Dr. Braun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Xavier University, Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University; and Doctor of Philosophy from Portland State University. He is profiled in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who's Who in the World and is a member of Sigma Beta Delta.
