Associate Professor, California Lutheran University, Graduate School of Business (Jan.1999-2009): Taught MBA and undergraduate courses including: International Marketing; Business in China and India; Social Enterprise & Corporate Social Responsibility; Social Marketing; Marketing Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Advanced Public Relations and Crisis Communications Management. Developed and approved student study abroad programs as member of the International Education committee.
Senior Lecturer, Asia-Pacific Management Institute (APMI) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) in Singapore (1992-98). Foundation faculty of NP Mass Communication program. Served as Marketing team leader. Managing Director of Plowshare-Econolynx International, based in Singapore (1987-92). Provided ethical market-development and promotional services for clients in Asia, including marketing audits and marketing/PR program evaluations. Conducted global evaluations of the export-promotion programs of the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA).
Asia Regional Director for National Renderers Association, based in the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office (USDA\FAS) Singapore (1982-87). Developed export markets for US agricultural commodities in 14 Asian countries. Traveled extensively, supervising a multi-cultural network of employees and consultants in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Asia Trade Director for the State of Washington (WAtrade), (1979-81). Appointed by the Governor to manage the State of Washington's first overseas trade office (in Singapore). Served as Asia Marketing Representative of the Washington Apple Commission (Apples). Traveled extensively in the ASEAN region and created the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce in Asia.
Director of Public Affairs for the State of Washington’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Olympia (1972-78). Developed statewide PR plan. Supervised communication programs and team of writers, editors, photographers, and TV cameraman. Elected by peers as President of the Washington Information Council.
U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) in Bidar District, Karnataka State, India (1970-72). Horticulture/nutrition extension agent with the State Horticulture Department.
