Background
Dr. Kathy Milhauser has over 10 years' teaching experience, primarily in project management, organizational change, human resources management, and communication skills. Kathy joined Concordia as the Director of Institutional Assessment in 2010, where she was responsible for student outcomes assessment and accreditation projects. In 2013, she transitioned to the School of Management, joining the MBA team as Professor of Management.
Kathy's research interests include project management, distributed team challenges and best practices, and organizational culture and change. Her publications have appeared in the Journal of Teaching in International Business and the International Journal of Knowledge, Culture, and Change Management. Kathy is an active member of the Project Management Institute, where she has presented papers and facilitated workshops at local and global conferences. Kathy also published an edited book titled "Distributed Team Collaboration - Emerging Tools and Practices" for IGI Global Publishing in 2011.
Prior to beginning her academic career, Kathy worked in a variety of industry and governmental settings, including over 20 years at Nike, where she contributed to global expansion in the areas of IT and HR. She has a passion for bringing her experiences to the classroom and online learning environments in the form of relevant and well-designed learning experiences.
