Background
Dr. David Tucker has been the head of the accounting program at Concordia University since 2008.
Dr. Tucker began his career after graduating from Harding University in 1977. He spent two years as an accountant with the Dallas, Texas office of Arthur Andersen. He passed the CPA exam in 1979. He obtained his MA in Economics from Georgetown University in 1981 and his PhD in Economics from the University of Arkansas in 1987.
He has 30 years of teaching experience, primarily in accounting, economics and finance. In addition to Concordia, he has taught at Cascade College in Portland and Harding University in Arkansas.
Tucker serves on the Board of Directors of Northwest Children's Theater, and he is a member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Portland. He is married to Lori Tucker, and they have four children and three grandchildren.
