Background

I am a licensed CPA in the state of Oregon and have taught accounting since 1973 on the secondary and post-secondary levels as well as computer applications on the post secondary level and in private-industry settings. My undergraduate and masters work was completed at California State University, Fullerton and my doctorate with concentrations in accounting and computer applications at Utah State University, Logan. I believe strongly in providing my students with a diverse, challenging and practical accounting environment that is well grounded in the basics of accounting but which is also mixed with a comprehensive liberal arts education. In keeping with that philosophy, my classes are characterized by their challenging content and my unique sense of humor. Personal understanding of and dedication to my students' academic, professional and personal needs adds greatly to the classroom atmosphere and learning environment, and encourages students to excel academically and personally.
