Background
Prior to joining Concordia in August 2012, Candace was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer for Learning.com, a leading provider of e-learning solutions for the K - 12 education market. She has also served as Vice President of Marketing, Chief Strategy Officer for InFocus a worldwide leader and innovator of digital projection offerings in addition to various leadership positions in corporate strategy, business analysis and marketing, including corporate economist for IBM.
Candace, who holds a doctorate in Systems Science and an MBA from Portland State University, was also a founding partner of Petersen & Prusia, a marketing research and consulting firm for advanced display and emerging high-tech industries. She served as an assistant professor of marketing and strategy in PSU's MBA program from 1996 - 2000, and as an adjunct professor from 2000 - 2007. Candace holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Virginia Tech, and started her career as a high school math teacher in Prince George's County, Maryland.
