Background

For the past several years, Alain was Chair of the MBA Department at Marylhurst University, an institution where he taught various courses such as Strategic Planning, Capstone/Final Project, International Marketing, Business in China, Strategic Leadership in Sustainable Management and Sustainable Marketing, since 2002.

He has three decades of business experience in multiple industries such as printing, advertising, direct marketing, sporting goods, hi-tech and clinical research, and has held various management positions in sales, merchandising, marketing, corporate strategy and consulting, working for both small and global companies.

On a personal note, Alain has been happily married for 28 years and is blessed with two wonderful sons. He is currently a member of the Saint-Vincent de Paul Society, and spent a decade supporting his sons in countless Boy Scouts of America and community-based activities. As a man of many passions, Alain also enjoys art, reading (e.g., historical novels, biographies, strategy, marketing, international business, global affairs...), traveling, sports (most particularly soccer, swimming, track & field, cycling and rugby), gardening and cooking. He has traveled to 16 countries for both business and pleasure.
