Sarah serves as the Reference and Catalog Librarian at Concordia University Libraries. In addition to helping students and faculty with research, she catalogs new materials for the library and maintains the online library catalog system. Sarah also serves as the bibliographer for Fine Arts.
Sarah is a graduate of Emporia State University’s School of Library and Information Management (Oregon VI Cohort), where she earned a Master of Library Science degree, and a Graduate Certificate in Archives Studies, and where she developed a love for library systems and technology. As part of her academic focus in archives, she completed practica at the Archives of the Rocky Mountain National Park and the Estes Park Historical Museum, as well as a local practicum in the Collections department of the Portland Art Museum.
Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Photography from Marylhurst University. She has exhibited work at The Art Gym at Marylhurst University, and galleries throughout Portland, Seattle, Houston, and Western Massachusetts.
Sarah has served professionally as Cataloging Librarian at the Portland Art Museum, Systems Librarian at Clackamas Community College, and Reference Librarian at Mt. Hood Community College and the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She is also a freelance algorithm trainer and information taxonomist.
Sarah lives in Portland with her husband, daughter, and two cats. She enjoys drawing, painting, printmaking and photography, reading, cooking, and chasing her daughter on the playground.
