Dr. Boehne joined Concordia University July, 2012 as the Director of the Nursing Program. Prior to that timeshe taught nursing for 12 years at Linfield College, where she co-authored a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA) grant resulting in over a half million dollars to help build the Hispanic nursing workforce in Oregon. She was also on the faculty at OHSU School of Nursing. Dr. Boehne's clinical experience is in critical care and emergency nursing. Most of her clinical nursing has been with the VA in Portland and throughout the US. She served as the Chair for Patient and Family Education for the NW region of the VA. She is especially proud to have worked with veterans for her entire nursing career and received several awards for her work. Pharmacology and the elderly are also special interests. Dr. Boehne has published articles and text chapters in these areas. She is a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Critical Care. Along with the other members of the Nursing Faculty at Concordia, Dr. Boehne is currently working toward achievement of national accreditation of the nursing program.
