Parents Council

Welcome to Concordia University's Parents Council Webpage! We extend a warm invitation for you to join us and other Concordia University parents who share our vision for the Concordia educational experience. Parents play a vital role in the life of the University, and your involvement through the Parent Council can help to improve the quality of education and enhance the collegiate experience for your child.

About Membership

Purpose
  • To guide the members of the parent community toward increased support, understanding and enthusiasm for Concordia University and its mission.
  • To develop the parent community as a resource for the university and its students.
  • To provide a vehicle for communication between the parent community and the university.
  • To assist in the efforts to garner financial support for the university in partnership with the Office of Development.
Responsibilities
  • Serve a one year renewable term and attend two Parents Council meetings a year. One meeting will be held in the fall and another in the spring during Family Weekend. Members are strongly encouraged to attend all meetings and if possible, to participate in the University's Family Weekend.
  • Become actively involved in the life of the University and serve as ambassadors for the University by fostering relationships with other Concordia parents, by supporting and promoting Concordia activites both on and off campus.
  • Help the University continue on its path of excellence, making an impact on future generations of Concordia students.
  • Encourage the involvment of other Concordia Parents.
  • Contribute to Concordia's Annual Fund (the size of the gift does not matter only that you contribute).
