Maureen's primary role is serving students and faculty in the College of Education’s Portland campus and distance programs (both online and off-site), but she works with students and faculty from all areas of the university. Maureen is the bibliographer for education, and works closely with the faculty and students in both the Masters of Education and Doctorate of Educational Leadership programs, and teaches the scholarly writing course for the first year of the doctoral program.
She has B.A. degrees in both Humanities and English, along with a professional and technical writing certificate, from Washington State University and an MLIS from the University of Washington. Her research interests include providing reference and instruction services to online students and research writing instruction for graduate students.
Prior to joining the Concordia University family, Maureen worked at various college and university libraries in the Portland Metro area including Clark College and Portland State University.
When not at work, Maureen enjoys spending time with her two active boys and large extended family. Occasionally, she even has time to read, write, or cook.
