Discover the Concordia Difference

Concordia University combines a liberal arts tradition with career-focused degrees. When you graduate, you’ll have well-rounded knowledge and critical thinking skills, along with practical, job-oriented experiences. Everything we do is geared toward your success.

Small classes, big perspectives.

At Concordia, our class sizes average less than 20. That means you will enjoy quality, personal instruction with caring professors who will quickly get to know you. In this environment, classmates become friends, and professors become mentors – mentors who are happy to help you throughout your time at Concordia and beyond.

Résumé-ready skills outside the classroom.

Whatever your field of study, we will provide you with a variety of opportunities to gain hands-on experience to help you excel after graduation. From internships and research projects to student teaching and senior thesis, our courses provide both the knowledge and the career experiences required to position you for success.

Making college affordable.

At Concordia, 97% of our students receive financial aid and we work hard to ensure you have the support you need to create a viable plan for your education. Along with your transfer coordinator, we will also assign you a financial aid coordinator, who will work with you to develop and implement a personalized financial aid package. We offer a variety of scholarships especially designed for transfer students.

A place to call home.

Our Commuter Lounge, the prime studying spot on campus, is set aside especially for you. With a quiet atmosphere, comfortable couches, and access to lockers, it’s the perfect place to relax and regroup between classes. Computers? Check. Laptop work spaces? Check. Plus a wireless printer you can use as needed. If you’re hungry, the lounge includes a microwave, refrigerator and hot/cold water station – and the dining hall is just a few doors down. Free parking and bike racks, too. And as a Concordia student, you’re offered free tickets to on-campus sporting events and reduced-priced tickets to many of Portland’s major league games.
