Glenda Talbutt joined Brady Law, Chartered, as an associate in 2000. Her current practice focuses on insurance defense, plaintiff's personal injury, adoptions, guardianships, wills, and divorce/child custody. Prior to joining Brady Law, Glenda served as a consumer affairs officer with the Idaho Department of Insurance, an Idaho State Appellate Public Defender, and law clerk to the Honorable Byron J. Johnson at the Idaho Supreme Court. Glenda received her B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 1984, her Lawyer's Assistant degree from the University of San Diego in 1994, and her J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1997. In between undergraduate and law school, Glenda was employed as a claims adjuster and supervisor with Hartford Insurance in California.
Glenda is admitted to practice in the state courts of both Idaho and Oregon, Idaho federal court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to performing as a Judge Pro Tem with Ada County Youth Court since 1998, Glenda also serves on the Law Related Education Committee of the Idaho Law Foundation and participates in Lawyers in the Classroom, judging the Idaho high schools mock trial competition, and volunteering with Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program and CASA.
Personal
When not practicing law, Glenda enjoys refereeing youth and adult soccer games and acting with community theater groups, with an upcoming performance as Ouiser in "Steel Magnolias" at Knock 'Em Dead Dinner Theater set to run in January and February 2011. Perhaps Glenda's greatest claim to fame is her daughter, Tori, who is currently a sophomore at Concordia University - Portland, goalkeeper for the Lady Cavaliers, and majoring in Biology (pre-med).
