Systems are included in an outage if they are directly affected or if a significant part of their purpose is affected indirectly. An example would be the SQL Database server going offline. This would also include our Intranet web servers in the outage. Even though the web servers still operate correctly, most of the Intranet would not function fully if the SQL server was offline since the SQL server is need for a large portion of the Intranet content.
