.LNK FILES ARE NOT ACTUAL FILES

 

When you add an attachment in webct, you must browse to your computer and select the file to attach to your discussion posst or dropbox assignment.

You cannot use the "My Recent Documents" option in the browse window to select your file. The "My Recent Documents" takes you to a shortcut to the file. A shortcut only works on your own computer. A file selected from the "My Recent Documents" folder will have a .lnk file extension. These .lnk types are not actual files, but temporary shortcuts. They will not work in WebCT.

 

Instead, browse to your desktop or your computer the navigate to your file. You may use any route EXCEPT "My Recent Documents" to find your file to attach.
