International Housing (Room & Board)

International students have several options for room and board at Concordia University. They may choose to stay in the residence halls and experience American college life at its best, or they may choose to participate in the Homestay program.

Residence Life

Living on campus is a great opportunity to develop life-long relationships while growing both personally and academically. For more information about on campus living, click here.

All students living in residence halls eat in our newly remodeled dining hall. Our "declining balance system" allows the freedom to purchase meals tailored to individual tastes and varying schedules, while providing insurance a student will have access to healthy meals throughout the semester. Apartment dwellers are not required to purchase a meal plan but many like the flexibility of purchasing "meal credit" in $50 increments.

Upon arrival, sheets, towels, a pillow and a blanket are provided until students have time to buy their own during the first few weeks of residence. In orientation, students will have an opportunity to set-up a bank account, go to the store, and set up a computer account and internet access.

Homestay

If international students prefer to live off-campus, they can apply to live in a homestay with an American family. When completing the application for admission, the student should check the option for homestay.
