Ms. Dodge has worked at Concordia University as Adjunct Faculty for the Social Work Department since 1996. She became a full time Assistant Professor in July 2012. In her time at Concordia, she has taught most of the social work practice courses, as well as the Chemical Dependency and Addictive Behaviors course. Ms. Dodge has had a productive social work career. She founded a consulting practice in 2007, Resilient LLC, through which she provides public and non-profit organizations training, program development and grant writing services. Prior to her consulting work, she served at LifeWorks NW for almost 12 years as the Service Director for Prevention and Youth Addiction Services. Ms. Dodge was the Executive Director of the Sexual Assault Crisis Agency in Long Beach, CA, from 1990-1994. She is recognized throughout the state of Oregon for her work in both prevention and youth addictions, as well as her consulting services. Ms. Dodge is passionate about international work, particularly as it relates to social justice and economic development. She has partnered with a church plant in Nicaragua that has developed substantial economic development projects including childrenâ€™s education, hunger relief, mico-finance, and small business development. She has led two student trips out of the country to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, and hopes to pursue further opportunities to share these types of experiences with students.
