Background
Barbara Archer is a 40+ year veteran of the health care industry. Barbara has held numerous clinical, management, executive, and policy positions throughout her career. Career highlights include Director of Professional Services/consultant for a hospital management company, Vice President of Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems, Associate Administrator of a rural hospital, Executive Director of a Federally Qualified Health Center, and independent Practice Management consultant.
Barbara's areas of expertise are organizational analysis, operations management, quality management, and accreditation.
Before becoming a full-time Concordia faculty member, Barbara was an adjunct professor with Concordia for over 20 years.
Barbara received her RN Diploma from Sacred Heart Hospital School of nursing and continues to hold an active RN license. Her undergraduate degree is a BA in Psychology from Willamette University. In addition, she has an MBA from University of Portland and a DPA from University of Southern California.
