George R. White Library and Learning Center
The hub for both the campus and the neighborhood, the George R. White Library and Learning Center will dramatically enhance academic resources for students and faculty and increase Concordia's ability to serve the community. The new building combines traditional library spaces, state-of-the-art technology, classrooms, community resources, a coffee shop, and important centers of learning. It increases learning space by 75 percent, provides additional computer and reference resources, increases the number of rooms available for group meetings, and more.

The George R. White Library and Learning Center will house several dynamic academic centers, including:
- Center for Applied Lutheran Leadership: In partnership with the Northwest District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, CALL will provide programming and enhance leadership to create vibrant, healthy congregations that successfully advance their mission. The center will explore two critical questions:
- What does it mean to be Lutheran at this time and in this place?
- How can Lutherans live their faith meaningfully and effectively?
- Northwest Center for Children's Literature: The Northwest Center for Children's Literature houses non-circulating copies of all recently published children's and young adult literature. The new center will provide space to expand the collection and improve access for educators and children.

The new Shakespeare Authorship Research Centre will increase space and resources to support collaboration with scholars around the world.

The Center for Volga German Studies at Concordia University, located in Portland's historical Volga German neighborhood, supports research into and preservation of the heritage, history, traditions and accomplishments of the Volga Germans and their descendants around the world.
