Transformation Under Way
Dear Friends,
Transformation continues to be underway at Concordia University Portland - in both our students and facilities. This transformation gained tremendous momentum with the recent opening of the George R. White Library & Learning Center, the completion of the Campus Green, the L. Geraldine White Campanile, and the Concordia Place Apartments—our new residence hall.
Faculty, staff, students and community members have already discovered what a wonderful resource we have in the new library and green space. Café 1905 has become a social hub, the classrooms are in full use, people are utilizing our academic centers, and we have already given out more than 1,200 free library cards to the community.
Concordia's tremendous growth (we now enroll nearly 2,500 students) has led us to expand, and our Lutheran heritage drives us to do more to serve our community.
And just as the dust settles after more than a year of construction, we are looking forward to our next project - the new Concordia University & Community Athletic Complex for baseball and soccer. The new complex will offer something for everyone, including student athletes, Cavalier fans, neighboring Faubion School kids, and local youth sports clubs like North East United and Alameda Soccer Clubs.
I invite you to browse through these pages and watch the exciting changes taking shape. God has truly blessed this institution, and with your help, we will continue to grow and serve.

Charles E. Schlimpert, Ph.D.
President
We invite you to be a part of Concordia's transformation. There are many ways to donate.
