I am proud to share with you the opportunity to show your support for the Concordia Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program by becoming a Friends of Nursing supporter. Your commitment to the Friends of Nursing society is the best way to demonstrate your faith in the ability of this program to help outstanding students become extraordinary health care professionals. I hope you will join me in this belief by becoming a Friend.
My warm regards,
Dr. Joyce Zerwekh
Nursing Program Director
The Friends of Nursing is a group of individuals committed to supporting the new Bachelor’s in nursing program at Concordia University. Making an annual gift of $1,000 or more, the Friends support the operation, scholarships, and program needs of the nursing program.
Our new nursing program, only one of five Bachelor’s programs in the state of Oregon, will help create compassionate and well-educated professionals who will provide thoughtful and expert care. The Concordia nursing program helps aspiring nurses develop their clinical reasoning abilities, partnered with a concern for the patient as a human being.
We’re excited to announce, too, that current $1,000 Friends of Nursing gifts will be matched dollar for dollar by the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund! Please consider becoming a Friend of Nursing today, and know that your support has an impact not only today, but on the future of healthcare.
As a Friend of Nursing, we are happy to provide the following:
- Invitations to nursing-related lectures and discussions
- Annual Friends of Nursing newsletter
- Invitation to Commitment Ceremony each fall
- Invitation to Pinning Ceremony each spring (beginning in 2007)
- Subscription to Concordia Connection magazine
- Subscription to The Cornerstone, the Concordia President’s Newsletter
- Recognition in the Annual Report
