Concordia Friends of Music
![]()
I cherish the opportunity to lead Concordia’s music program at this important juncture in our history. The immense support from so many people over the years who have attended our performances and contributed financially to our program demonstrates that ours is a legacy worth growing.
It is my privilege to announce the formation of the Friends of Music which is committed to helping our students become leaders who serve others through their musical abilities. Please join me and Concordia University in supporting this monumental goal by becoming a Friends of Music Circle partner in our educational music ministry.Sincerely yours,
Kurt Berentsen,
Music Program Director
Music has always mattered at Concordia, and now we offer a bachelor of arts degree with a special emphasis on music education and church worship. Our success will depend on the commitment of students and the Concordia community. You are invited to help provide student scholarships, musical equipment, travel opportunities, and curricular support.
Gifts can be made by check or credit card, through mail, by telephone, or online. Gifts can be committed over time through monthly or quarterly pledges. Please call the Concordia Foundation at (503) 280-8505 or 800-752-4736.
Gifts to the Friends of Music are 100 percent tax-deductible. As such, your gift may be eligible for a match if you are a Benefit Member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans or if you or your spouse work for a matching gift employer.
Friends of Music member benefits include special publications, invitations, and recognition. Any gift to the Concordia Music program is significant in the lives of our students. As such, we present the Friends of Music membership program. Gifts to Concordia Music of $25-$249 will be recognized in our annual report and in all music ensemble printed programs.
However, the best benefit of all will be knowing that you helped provide opportunity for Concordia University students of music. Please consider joining this group of friends and share the joy of Concordia University’s music ministry.
