Loan Counseling
If you're like many students at Concordia (and at most other private universities), Federal Student Loans play an important role in allowing you to attend the school of your choice. Just like any loan, Federal Student Loans are an important obligation that must be repaid. In order to give you as much information as possible about student loans (and in order to comply with federal regulations), we want to provide adequate loan counseling for all student borrowers.
Federal regulations require that first-time borrowers complete Entrance Counseling before we can credit any student loan proceeds to your account. When you complete your education at CU, you must complete Exit Counseling before we will release your transcripts or diploma.
We have chosen to provide this loan counseling through Mapping Your Future, a website dedicated to providing students with information about higher education and career opportunities. Completing Entrance Counseling before arriving on campus will allow us to credit loan proceeds to your account as soon as we receive them. If you cannot complete Entrance Counseling prior to arriving for your first term, contact us for instructions on how to complete the counseling on campus.
