Oregon’s fastest growing university adds new degree options, continues to expand
Oregon’s fastest-growing university, Concordia University Portland, will award 1,439 undergraduate and graduate degrees tomorrow, Sat., April 26, 2014.
Concordia University offers two new, accredited Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree concentrations that focus on national education priorities including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Common Core State Standards. These two concentrations, in addition to many others, are available within the Curriculum and Instruction M.Ed. degree program and are offered online.
The Portland School Board unanimously approved the master plans for the rebuilt Faubion PK-8 School, in partnership with Concordia University.
College students nationwide are choosing to spend spring break in service to others. Among them, nearly 60 Concordia University student leaders, faculty and staff are volunteering in around the U.S.
Helping communities in need through service learning experiences for students is an important part of the Lutheran university’s mission to prepare leaders for the transformation of society.
