Division of Theology

Sacred Purpose

As a Lutheran university, faith is central to all that we do at Concordia. Courses through the Theology Division are open to all students and explore a range of issues such as the nature of faith, accepting diversity, and leading lives of hope.

Concordia University has been educating pastors for ministry in the Lutheran Church for more than 100 years. While Concordia's offerings have greatly expanded in the last century, the preparation of pastors, other church workers, and church leaders continues to be at the core of Concordia's mission.

Concordia's Division of Theology offers are variety of classes to provide a solid theological grounding for students called in a variety of directions, including seminary, pastoral ministry, graduate studies, teaching, and public service.
