Background

Matthew Wise, Ph.D. joined the faculty of Concordia University in 2011. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2004 where he studied the phase transitions of sulfate aerosol particles at upper tropospheric and lower stratospheric temperatures and compositions using FTIR spectroscopy. After completing his Ph.D., Matt was a postdoctoral research associate at Arizona State University where he studied atmospheric aerosol particles with an environmental transmission electron microscope. Most recently, he taught a variety of chemistry courses (including general chemistry courses for both science and non-science majors) at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Additionally, he was a research associate in the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences. Matt's teaching interests include general and analytical chemistry. His research interests are focused on the development of new analytical techniques with which to study atmospheric aerosol particles.
