Background
Linda Rountree has been at Concordia for 20 years. Professor Rountree began her career teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) through the Peace Corps in Thailand. Later she served at Oklahoma State University teaching composition and rhetoric, coordinating the tutoring center, and working as an advisor for minority students. She was the director of the ESL program at Concordia until 2003. She currently is the director of the graduate program in TESL and teaches courses in linguistics and TESL. As director of international studies, she advises and supports international students on the Concordia campus as well as developing and promoting study abroad opportunities for students wanting to study abroad.
