Background
Dr. Dwaine Brandt taught full-time at Concordia for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1999. During his time at Concordia, he has coached baseball and basketball, made numerous trips to Eastern and Western Europe and China, and developed a number of courses within the Humanities. Most recently, Dr. Brandt edited the centennial volume of the LCMS-NW District entitled "God Opens Doors," published in 2000. His personal interests include travelling, reading, fishing, and hunting. Currently, he holds Emeritus Professor status and teaches courses in: Renaissance, Reformation, Luther & Society, Modern Germany, 20th Century Russia, East-Central Europe in the 20th Century, History of Modern Political Thought, and general ed courses in the Humanities.
