Background
Bob Jacke taught full time in the math/science department at Concordia University for 15 years, prior to his retirement in 2000. While teaching here, he taught courses in chemistry, physics, astronomy, and algebra. He also served as the Faculty Athletic Representative. Before coming to Concordia, Professor Jacke had taught science and served as the department chairman at Walther Lutheran High School in the Chicago area for twenty-four years. He currently teaches an astronomy course as an adjunct faculty member. In addition to astronomy, his main interests lie in the areas of hiking, gardening, reading and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals.
