Christian Education

Christian educators are involved in many ministries, from missions to other non-profit organizations. Concordia University's B.A. in Christian Education program provides a firm foundation for individuals desiring to be effective in their chosen ministry field. Class work includes training and challenges in six essential functions: Christian educator, family life enhancer, consultant, missionary, leader, and administrator.

You will train in the skills of a Life Span educator—one who helps equip children, youth and families from birth through the end of life.

Director of Christian Education Certification

The DCE Certificate is for those who seek to serve as a director of Christian education in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. You will train as both an educator and a theologian in the skills of a Life Span educator—one who helps equip children, youth and families from birth through the end of life.

The DCE is a Christian educator, leader, administrator, family life enhancer, consultant, and a missionary. Graduates of this program obtain general skills within each of these areas. The DCE is a person who continues to learn, grow and nurture his/her faith in Jesus Christ to be a healthy and productive servant to the Lord.
