H. Strategic Planning
The Process
The College of Education’s strategic planning process includes a yearly review of previous and current strategic objectives, the creation of additional initiatives, followed by a prioritization of these goals for immediate action each year. The College of Education faculty creates the plan, while the University Consortium, Academic Policies Committee, and often the Board of Regents, provide reviews and suggest revisions.
The College of Education’s strategic plan is shared with the local community through the University’s Consortium. The Consortium is a TSPC required committee comprised of teachers and administrators from various community schools as well as representatives from Concordia’s education faculty and student body. The Consortium meets 4-5 times per year on campus to review all teacher education programs, help disseminate information, and provide a formative evaluation to improve the college’s programs.
