M.Ed. in Educational Leadership — On-campus

Classes in the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership are designed for asynchronous delivery on your home computer, although all classes are also offered on the Concordia campus. Online classes are five weeks in length, and can be accessed via the Internet at the time and location that is most convenient for the student. The degree is designed for classroom teachers desiring to develop leadership skills and teachers considering careers in educational administration. Program Objectives

In addition to meeting the objectives for all M.Ed. programs, successful candidates in the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership will demonstrate skills in:

  • Designing and implementing curriculum
  • Integrating technology into the faculty development process
  • Taking a leadership role in developing a collaborative work environment that incorporates the use of research-based best practices
  • Consulting, being able to assess the classroom and school environments, and making appropriate, research-based recommendations for school and classroom improvement

A candidate may enter the program with any course. EDGR 601, however, must be taken prior to EDGR 698/699. The program can be completed within- 12-17 months.
