Adding an Authorization Level

Candidates who wish to add the next contiguous authorization level to an Initial or Continuing Teaching License complete the following:

MAT 532 Learning Theory and Practice (ML, HS) 3
MAT 557 Adolescent Development 3
Select ONE for the requested authorization level*:
EDCI 517 Innovative Curriculum in Health and Physical Education 2
EDCI 530 Educational Technology Levels (ECE/ELE) 3
EDCI 577 Hands-on Math/Science 3
EDCI 580 Teaming Language Arts and Social Studies 3
Complete the following:
EDGR 598 Professional Development Activity 1
EDCI 599 Level-appropriate Practicum
  • Minimum of 90 clock hours at the new level.
  • Includes development and teaching of one work sample)
