I am actually a product of the Concordia (Portland) Teacher Education and Professional Church work programs. I graduated from Concordia College in 1984, with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, English, and Physical Education. The PCW placement office helped me locate my first teaching job in Houston, Texas. After teaching and coaching there for 7 years, Concordia, Portland called me back to teach in the Physical Education department, "revive" the women's varsity volleyball and fastpitch teams, and work toward my Ed.D. degree.
In my nine years in the College of Education, I have taught an assortment of Physical Education classes, have been an advisor for the PE majors, have supervised student teachers, and have assisted in the development of Health as an additional endorsement area.
If teaching Health and PE to middle school or high school students is a passion of yours, I would invite you to continue to browse our website for further information about Concordia University and the College of Education.
