Welcome to Concordia University's Office of Multicultural Services.
Everyone has a story. A unique sense of time, place, and history that makes you who you are. Through the Office of Multicultural Services at Concordia University-Portland, our goal is to share our stories to enrich the lives of others. From peer mentoring and cultural dinners, to worldview discussions and equity and student advocacy, the Office of Multicultural Services is a place where students from all backgrounds, all countries, and all ethnicities can come together to celebrate the richness of their cultural diversity. We welcome you here!
Opportunities such as the Portland Cultural Urban Tour Dining Outing and Happy Hour Discussions are just a few of our dynamic cultural education programs which highlight over 15 various cultures. We also offer other opportunities for involvement such as our student leadership positions CU Global Ambassadors and club involvement through the Concordia University Multicultural African and Hawaiian Clubs.
First-year students also have the opportunity to be involved in our office by participating in a dynamic mentorship program focused on successfully navigating the first year of college. The mission of the United Project First Year Peer Mentorship Program is to pair first generation students of color with caring upperclassmen who will cultivate supportive relationships that positively contribute to student achievement and success socially and academically here at Concordia University.
If you would like to know more about this exciting office and how to get involved, either through the planning and implementation of our cultural programs or to seek out culturally-focused education opportunities, please contact our staff of CU Global Ambassadors at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 503-493-6221. Also, feel free to stop by our new office on the first floor of the Hagen Campus Center Room 113.
