Preparing for Partnership

This is a 1.5 – 2 hour orientation held prior to the start of each semester (January and August). The orientation assists invited local partnering agencies with connecting their opportunities to the CU community. The orientation offers discussion opportunities, training sessions, and additional Concordia University resources. Concordia University Service Leaders

(CU Service Experience Teams) Student leaders work with selected local partnering agencies. The role of these students is to assist with the coordination of Concordia student volunteers that serve in each agency. These students serve as a link to the campus and provide a direct connection to the resources at Concordia. Currently we work specifically with Habitat for Humanity, Portland, Bridgetown Inc., and Oregon Food Bank through weekly and monthly service opportunities. If you or your organization would like to be considered to be a part of this program please email the Office of Student Leadership.

Posting Community Fundraising Opportunities and Events

We want to support the ever increasing funding needs of our community partners, thus the Office of Service Leadership will list current community partner's fundraisers and/or training/volunteer events upon request. To receive final approval, All community partner fundraising events must align with Concordia University's mission and must receive permission from the Director of Service Leadership. Just submit a description to the Office of Student Leadership for posting on our website. Please submit 2-4 weeks prior to the event for maximum exposure.
