Rev. David Dorpat (HS) ’50 resides in Auburn, Wash. and says, “it is wonderful to grow old as a believer.”

Leroy Hotz (HS) ’50 retired after 50 years as an LCMS elementary/secondary teacher administrator. He currently serves as a congregational treasurer, elder, Thrivent chapter president, and adjunct professor at CU-Irvine.

Robert Kellerman recently lost his wife Joy.

Wesley Visser lives in Tonasket, Wash. with his wife, Judith, and has this message, “anyone want a stopover place on your way to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada?”

Sharon (Brandt) Willweber and her husband, Lloyd, have four grandchildren in San Diego, Calif. and two in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Jean (Duborko) Hermann and her husband, Ted ’58, are both retired and keep busy with their six children and 19 grandkids. They recently enjoyed a mission trip to Ysletta Mission, El Paso, Tex. and into Mexico.

Rhoda (Schuldheisz) Spidal retired in 1997 from the Gaston Public Schools after 30 years as a school secretary. She and her husband, Don, live in Gaston, Ore. and have six grandchildren ages one to 18.

James Neumann and his wife, Ruth, have 13 grandchildren, one of whom was adopted three years ago from Vladivostok, Russia.

Barbara (Larson) Braun and her husband, William, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 6, 2006.

Ruth (Werner) Probasco lives in St. Louis, Mo. with her husband, Lloyd (HS) ’59, ’61, and “are blessed with nine grandchildren.”

Sigrid (LeMaster) Probst lives in Tacoma, Wash. with her husband of 43 years, Clifford ’61, who retired in 1997 after 32 years as a public school teacher.

Rev. David Schroeder retired in February after 39 years of pastoral ministry. He and his wife, Phyllis, live in Clarkston, Wash.

Rebecca (Berg) Davis taught briefly at Highline Community College where she published two books that were used as textbooks. She has several books in the works and is an avid quilter, having recently completed quilts for ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition Design Team. She writes, “I am roommates with my precious daughter who is an excellent artist and a very dear person. I am learning the difference between knowing the Lord and having a personal relationship with him.”

Nancy (Brandt) Lingenfelter lives in Central Pennsylvania with her husband of 39 years, Frank ’62. They have two grandchildren, and a third set to arrive in July.

Gene Smith recently retired from CU-Mequon as their AV Director. He and his wife, Carolyn ’63, live in Mequon, Wis. and enjoy their two grandchildren Serena and Colleen, as well as their two children Brent and Kristin.

Karen (Wienk) Bergquist shares that she was a Longview, Wash. City Councilmember from 1990-2001 and served as Mayor of that city from 2000-2001.

Annette (Egger) Rupprecht is a teacher at Zion Lutheran School in Cologne, Minn. Her husband, Robert, is a pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Hollywood Township. Annette is the choir director and midweek service pianist. They encourage friends to “drop by and visit.”

Janice (Brommer) Pfeiffer writes that her husband, Cletus, was named a National Distinguished Professor in 2005.

LaVonne (Lensman) Olmsted retired last February as the St. Ignatuis Mont. Postmaster. Her husband, Ron, is retired from the Violent Crime and Narcotics Division of the Dufage County Sheriff’s Office in Ill.

Rev. Clark Davis celebrated 25 years in the ministry in December and has enjoyed his two small parishes in Kan. for the past 12 years. He and his wife, Kathleen, will become empty nesters this year as both of their daughters, Rebeckah and Rachel, are enrolled at CU-Mequon.

Carolyn (Roberts) Hamaker lives in Olympia, Wash. with her husband, William ’68. Carolyn writes that she is very active in Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League.
