All Concordia alumni should have received an invitation to join CU CIRCLE. You might wonder what CU CIRCLE is and Alumni Petr Maucy shares his CU CIRCLE experience:
"At one of Concordia's numerous networking activities I learned about CU Circle and because at that time I was deliberately unemployed, searching for a field and job where I could start a new and long term career, I checked out CU's website and joined the Circle. I picked a potential employer and gave them my e-mail address and phone number. In two days my cell phone rang and I scheduled an interview for the next week. I am thankful that CU Circle gave me the opportunity to connect with people in the industry that I was interested in, and helped me to get a dream job."
"P.S. I'm starting a new business, my first and own insurance agency (plus financial services later). Woo hoo! I am very excited and well prepared thanks to CU.
P.S.S. Can I give you a free quote for your car and home insurance? Or can you refer me to someone who might need my services? Thanks."
Petr Maucy, 07' MBA

Plan to come and celebrate with us on August 29, 2009 at the opening of the new George R. White Library &Learning Center. Not only will the new library and learning center DOUBLE our capacity of books and materials, but it will positively and significantly impact our students' academic experiences, while serving the community around Concordia as well! It is an exciting time on campus and we hope you can be with us.
You can also have an integral role in Concordia's history with a gift to the George R. White Library &Learning Center. If you make a gift or pledge before June 30, 2009 it will be matched dollar for dollar, thanks to the generosity of George and Jody Thurston, Bob and Virginia Hilken, Keren Brown-Wilson and Michael Deshane and others who have created a $1 million dollar matching fund.
We encourage our CU Alumni community to support the students at Concordia by participating in this building campaign. It takes a lot of individual bricks to create the library...just as it takes a lot of individual people to fund it. Ensure your contribution has twice the impact by making your commitment by June 30, 2009. Then prepare to celebrate with us in August at the opening that you helped to make possible.
