Education Opportunities in Klamath Falls

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education prepares candidates to teach Pre-K to Grade 8 in a self-contained classroom. The curriculum provides content background in reading, science, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and the arts in an accelerated format. Additionally, as an institution that sincerely believes in the value of service to others, Concordia University promotes this value in our goal to help men and women become quality teachers.

About Concordia University’s BA in Elementary Education

  • Classes are held at night on the KCC campus to meet the needs of the working adult
  • Classes are the cohort model, so students can study side by side
  • Field experience and student teaching give students hands on experience in teaching
  • Cohorts begin January of each year

Students will enjoy the opportunity to teach early and often. You will gain valuable field experience (i.e., a combination of observation and teaching lessons at a community school) while concurrently taking courses in curricular methods and strategies. During your last semester, you will spend fifteen weeks in one classroom completing your student teaching.
