MBA: Checklist for Admission
Heres what you need to begin your application process.

Admission requirements:
Heres the list of things youll need:
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or above over the last 60 semester hours of college coursework.
- Professional experience of five or more years.
- Graduate Management Admission Test or Graduate Record Examination
- International students must meet TOEFL requirements.
Credit transfers:
Concordia University will accept up to 9 semester hours of graduate work completed at other accredited institutions. These may be transferred into your elective / specialization area. Otherwise, all MBA core courses must be completed at Concordia. Review of your transcript by the registrar will help determine which of your previous courses are applicable.
Please note that no credits earned towards a Concordia MBA can be more than 7 years old. Also, only final course grades of A or B will be accepted for credit towards degree completion.
Steps Needed to Complete the MBA Admission Process
- Submit a completed Application for Graduate Admission: Master of Business Administration or apply online. Both methods have a $35 (non-refundable) application fee.
Contact the Registrars Office from the undergraduate college or university from which you have, or will have, earned your degree and order an official transcript to be sent to the Graduate Office of Admission. These official transcripts must include verification of the last 60 credit hours of your coursework.
If you were a transfer student who took fewer than 60 credit hours at the institution from which you graduated, or will graduate, it will be necessary to make additional official transcript requests of your previous institution(s), sufficient to cover the 60 required hours.
(Please note: Official transcripts must arrive at CU in a sealed, unopened, institutional envelope.)
- Complete one of the following evaluative tools:
- Submit a minimum GRE score of 1050
- Submit a minimum GMAT score of 500
- Submit a Professional Portfolio
- Submit two letters of recommendation from either past and present supervisors, or professional colleagues. Self-employed candidates may submit letters from business associates. Letters should address the candidates intellectual abilities, professional achievements, and potential for increased management responsibilities.
- Submit a Letter of Intent a personal narrative statement that presents relevant information about your previous experience, explains your professional interests and career goals, and discusses your reasons for wanting to obtain the MBA degree.
- Submit a detailed resume that provides a history of work experience.
- All applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum score is 550 on the paper exam or 213 on the computer-based test.

Every component of your application will be considered. Work experience, grades, communication skills, test scores, recommendations, etc. are all important.
Application deadlines:
Candidates may matriculate to the MBA program in fall or spring semester. Application should be submitted by July 1st for the fall semester and February 1st for the spring semester.
